More than 50 years after the Surgeon General’s first report on the dangers of tobacco use, tobacco’s dangers and impacts remain. New forms of tobacco continue to be created and marketed to our youth. We call these products “new generation tobacco products.” During this presentation, you will learn how to identify current youth tobacco trends, what and how new-generation products are being marketed to youth, and new ideas on how to share timely, accurate information on the dangers of these products with your teens.
You are invited to attend The Legacy Center’s February town hall meeting with guest speaker Bev Wenzel, Executive Director of the ROCK Center for Youth Development. She will discuss how parents can help their children develop problem-solving skills and a growth mindset to build resiliency and strengthen youth.
Jennifer Lombardo, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist from Partners in Change, will be the guest speaker at The Legacy Center’s March Parent Town Hall Meeting. Spring is state assessment time, so don’t miss the opportunity to learn how you can help your teen through this challenging time.
